"Staying at Bedrock was the highlight of our trip. Gina and Grant don't just host guests — they welcome you into a life they've built around deep respect for this land. Every conversation unlocked another layer: how the canyon formed, who lived here before us, how cattle reshaped the ecosystem, and how removal is slowly restoring it. We left knowing this place in a way most visitors never will."

Nestled in a serene valley near Boulder, Utah, the Bedrock Homestead—operated by hosts Grant and Gina—sits on the last proved-up homestead in the lower 48 states. It is grandfathered directly into the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, just a short drive from Capitol Reef National Park and the Dixie National Forest. The land surrounding the homestead offers a glimpse into millions of years of geological history, defined by towering stand-alone boulders, deep red slick rock canyons, and the flowing waters of the Aquarius Plateau.
